Candles.co.za was started as a hobby 14 years ago, and became a business six years ago. It now offers a complete service from candle sales and rental to the supply of materials (wax wick dye etc) and moulds, plus wax and gel candle kits which come complete with easy to follow instructions
We also known World Wide for our Personalised Candles - You provide the text and picture - and we will put onto the candle, a truly unique gift for everyone and all occasions
Up to date materials and computer graphics are used to create customized picture candles for Special Occasions and as gifts

Candle Colours
White - By far the most common colour white candles denote peace, purity, truth and harmony - they are protection against negativity - Their day of the week is Monday
Yellow - Like the Sun this nurtures your creative forces and helps them grow - Confidence, Learning, Study or Imagination - Their day of the week is Sunday
Red - Like blood and life Red candles drive emotions and passions - Love, strength, courage, fertility, vigour, Health and Charity - Their day of the week is Tuesday
Blue - The Colour of the Sky and Clear blue Waters - Harmony or peace, wisdom, tranquillity and understanding or truth - Their day of the week is Thursday
Green - Like the grass and natures badge of wellness - finance, fertility, success; good luck and rejuvenation - Their day of the week is Friday
Purple - Like the band Deep Purple :) - tension, ambition, business progress, power - Their day of the week is Wednesday
Pink: - The colour of fun and femininity - Romance, friendship, honour, love and morality
Brown: - The colour of Autumn leaves - uncertainty, animals and homes
Orange - Is associated with: stimulation, attraction business, authority, ambition, career, encouragement, legal and justice
Black - Dark as the night - Black candles have sadly lost favour because of the use of some people to produce what they think is an opposite or a negative of something... however the colour black is a protection against negativity, destruction and evil - Their day of the week is Saturday
Scented Candles:
This can be done by adding Fragrance oils, sometimes known as FO's and are generally synthetic (manmade) Essential Oils, also known as EO's are naturally occurring oils and cost a bit more, extra care and preparation needs to be taken when blending them with candle wax.you must use the correct stabilizers or fixers.
Beeswax and Bayberry wax are two naturally scented waxes, beeswax burns with the sweet smell of honey while bayberry has a fresh spicy aroma.
Either way this is not a item that you should rush into just because it sounds like a good idea, using Essential Oils you need to be more mindful of your stabilizing of the wax and if you are using synthetic Fragrance Oils you need to be mindful of what chemicals you are using, just because they smell nice does not mean that they are doing you any good. Beeswax and Bayberry wax are not cheap either, but offer a good alternative, remember you could always go old school and buy some nice incense sticks to burn
